Cheese and wine are considered a dream pair but often lead to confusion. Many search for the one wine that pairs with as many cheeses as possible. In this tasting, we show why that rarely works. We don't tell tales, we taste them. And we do so with conscious variety. The focus is on the key factors in pairing: salt content, ripeness, creaminess, and consistency. They determine whether a wine is supported or tips over, whether it wins or loses. We will taste soft cheese, mild hard cheese, aged, saltier extra hard cheese, and blue cheese, each paired with different wines. This makes it immediately clear why no wine pairs with everything, but some combinations create magical marriages.

With a large portion of passion and enthusiasm, we want to experience delightful moments with you around the theme of wine at regular intervals. The world of wine is multifaceted, diverse, and sometimes complex. Our guided themed tastings in Bern not only offer you the opportunity to taste different wines but also provide an in-depth insight into selected topics from the world of wine. Whether it's a grape variety, a wine region, an exciting comparison of different wineries, or special finds from the Old and New World.


In addition to presenting selected wines, we would like to clearly categorize their origin, characteristics, and style. Clear, personal, and understandable communication is important to us - so that wine knowledge brings joy and enjoyment remains the focus.

The number of participants is limited. Early reservation is worthwhile!

Process

Tasting with 8 to 9 different wines. Accompanied by small bites & grissini.

Duration

The tasting lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours and takes place while standing. Individual seating options are available.

Costs

The tasting costs CHF 65.00 per person.
